Jemniště Castle

Jemniště Chateau is a Baroque mansion located in the Central Bohemia Region, near the village of Postupice.

Baroque elegance

The castle was built between 1724 and 1725 according to the design of architect František Maxmilián Kaňka as a summer residence of František Adam of Trauttmansdorff. After a fire in 1754, it was rebuilt and the interiors were redecorated.

What you will see on site

Since 1868, the castle has been owned by the Sternberg family, who still occupy it today and open it to the public. Visitors can admire the historic interiors, the chateau chapel of St. Joseph, the large park with a rosarium and a menagerie.

Jemniště also offers accommodation in apartments and is a popular place for weddings and other social events.
